Capability development leader
Raj is a seasoned consultant with a wealth of experience in delivering major global, cross-business capability programmes and projects. As a senior capability advisor at BP, he spearheaded innovative capability development initiatives, including the successful introduction of a sales, marketing, and retail career development framework for approximately 5,000 employees.
Raj played a pivotal role in establishing the BP Sales & Marketing Academy, which aimed to transfer best practices and core skills across all BP workstreams. His early career in retail and as a key account manager ingrained in him the importance of understanding customer needs and managing client relationships—skills he continues to prioritise.
With a robust background in sales and marketing roles, strategy development, and capability development, Raj excels in aligning business strategy with training and talent development. He is adept at managing relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, and possesses the ability to influence and lead to achieve targets and goals. Raj is also passionate about coaching and developing people.
In his role at BP, Raj led relationships with all Downstream businesses for capability plans and talent development alignment. He co-led the development and successful implementation of the Sales, Marketing, and Retail Career Development framework, impacting thousands of leaders and professionals.
