JA Consulting Ltd (hereafter also called JA Consulting or JAC) acknowledges the importance of protecting the privacy of any personal data provided and is committed to data protection and information integrity. This Policy describes the manner in which we collect and use personal data we receive from our website users.

Use of Information

We do not collect any personally identifiable information unless willingly provided. JA Consulting does not sell or rent any of this information to a third party. We will only use this information internally or to notify users of JA Consulting’s website regarding content updates or for JAC-related marketing purposes.

Only JA Consulting will have access to an individuals’ personal information, if any is supplied through our website. JA Consulting, as a general rule, will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information other than as set forth above except (1) when you specifically grant us permission or (2) if we are required, such as when we have a good faith belief that the law requires it.

We may contact you as part of our continuous quality development programme. Such calls will be made only to identify your experience of our services and to elicit your suggestions for improvement. You will be under no obligation to answer any such questions.

JA Consulting is registered as a Data Controller with the Data Protection Registrar. The hosting service we use and ourselves employ various methods in ensuring the security of any personal data held and endeavour at all times to protect the information we may collect online, prevent unauthorised access and maintain accuracy of the data.

The internet is not a secure medium, so be aware that communications over it are potentially subject to third-party interception and eavesdropping.

We may as a result of your interaction with our website and our communications with you hold specific personal information obtained about you – your name, your email address, your address and your telephone number.

Our website uses “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that websites write to your hard drive for record keeping purposes when you visit them. IP Addresses

JA Consulting may collect information about your computer, including your computer’s IP address, operating system (eg Windows or Mac OS etc) and browser type (Mozilla, Edge, Safari etc) and the domain name of the internet service provider for system administration. From time to time we may use aggregated information (which does not reflect specific information about you) to help us determine traffic data and identify improvements to the site. This provides data about browsing patterns and page visits and does not identify any individual.

Links on the JA Consulting Website

Our site may contain, from time to time, links to other web sites. JA Consulting is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of any websites to which it may link. You should satisfy yourself as to the identity of the operators of those sites and review the privacy policies of such web sites when you visit them.

What we do with your information

The information you provide will be used to

  • Update or correct our records. We will take reasonable steps to keep accurate contact information. However we do not assume responsibility for on-going accuracy.
  • Provide you with information about our services that may be of interest to you. If you are an existing contact, we will contact you by email (directly or by other electronic methods such as HubSpot, MailChimp or SurveyMonkey) with similar information to that which you have previously received. If you are a new contact we may contact you by electronic methods if you have consented to that.
  • Ensure website content is presented in an effective way

We will process your information for legitimate reasons concerning information or network security, to defend or pursue legal rights or to meet regulatory requirements. Any information processed for contacts based in the European Union will not be transferred outside the European Union.

Information (your name, email address, telephone number) may be held at our offices. We have technical and physical security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost or prevent unauthorised access.

You can update your contact details at any time by emailing dataofficer@jaconsulting.co.uk or change your mind by clicking “unsubscribe” in marketing communications emails we may send from time to time.

Removal

JA Consulting, upon your request, will (1) remove your personal information from our database; (2) correct any personal information that you let us know is incorrect.

If you do not want to be contacted via e-mail by JA Consulting please send us an email at dataofficer@jaconsulting.co.uk and provide us with your full name and email address and we will remove your details from the mailing list.

Data subject rights

In the unlikely event of a data breach, will notify you and any applicable regulator where we are legally required to do so.

We hope that we can resolve any query or concern you raise about our use of your information. The General Data Protection Regulation also gives you the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the European Union (or European Economic Area) where you work, normally live or where any alleged infringement of data protection laws occurred. The supervisory authority in the UK is the Information Commissioner who may be contacted at https://ico.org.uk/concerns/ or by telephone.

Changes to this notice

This privacy notice was reviewed in March 2025. We may change this privacy notice from time to time. Any changes we may make will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the site, following the posting of changes to this privacy policy, will mean you accept these changes.
