Lara Gilkes

A highly experienced and proven Change & Transformation Professional with a wide-ranging skillset. Known for achieving significant savings in helping clients & suppliers build ‘truly collaborative’ partnerships. Experienced in working at all levels including Director-level. She has an ability to bring a fresh and innovative approach, transforming organisations at a deeper level to bring about sustainable change.

Lara is an OD consultant with nearly 20 years working in both public and private sector in the UK and Europe. She has a background in Human Resources, Learning and Development and Organisational Development. In the latter half of her career she has focussed on organisational development and change incorporating strategic change analysis and implementation of change programmes. This often includes project management, stakeholder engagement, culture change, coaching and mentoring of leaders and employee engagement. She has a warm and professional approach.

Rajnish Jobanputra

Raj is a talented and experienced consultant with proven ability to lead and deliver major global, cross business capability programmes and projects. For many years he was senior capability advisor to BP leading the introduction of novel and wide-ranging capability development initiatives. He successfully introduced a sales, marketing and retail career development framework targeted at some 5000 people. Raj has a strong blend of experience in sales & marketing roles, strategy development and in Capability Development from concept, structure and implementation (including aligning business strategy to training, talent development). Raj is effective at managing relationships at all levels, externally or internally and can influence as well as lead to achieve targets and goals. Like many of JA Consulting’s consultants, Raj also has a passion for developing people through coaching.

Emma Paxton

Emma is a graphic recorder and illustrator. Adding value for our clients, Emma creates visual notes of meetings in real-time and images to help communicate complex ideas. Emma focuses on creating hand drawn visuals that engage minds, explain ideas and embed learning. She is able to draw live at events to capture the key ideas and outcomes, and create event branding, materials and ‘visual widgets’. Her hand-drawn infographics and rich pictures communicate complex ideas and information.

Paul Shorrock

Paul is a vastly experienced Illustrator who specialises in Rich Pictures, creating stunning digital artworks that encapsulate complex business processes making them accessible to a wide audience. With over seventy Rich Pictures delivered to date for organisations as diverse as BAE Systems, the Royal Navy, the NHS and Sainsbury’s, Paul is acknowledged as one of the most experienced Artists working in the field. Rich Pictures are a proven alternative to “Death by PowerPoint”! We have used Paul’s rich picture approach on several of our JA Consulting projects with incredible feedback.

Martin Samphire

Martin is an experienced and influential management consultant, coach, programme director, bid director and PMO lead who is focused upon delivery and striving for business improvement. Leading teams to bid for and deliver major programmes of change and organisational transformation to both blue chip and public sectors organisations. Core expertise in business transformation, change management, 3PM (project / programme / portfolio management) and Agile working. Martin has been engaged across a wide range of sectors including Construction, Defence and Security, Energy / Oil & Gas, General Insurance, Health, Utilities, Investment Banking, Legal, Police and Retail Banking.

Peter Dingley

Peter has held senior executive leadership roles for over 10 years for two global businesses; Inmarsat and Airbus, building on experience gained from working in many disciplines in the space industry. Peter has been at the forefront of defining the future strategy for Inmarsat and Airbus, leveraging his skills and experience to merge the highly technical and complex communications programmes with the necessary business acumen and commercial experience to ensure business success.

Key achievements during this time have been leading successful negotiations for major elements of the Skynet-5 programme and supporting the establishment and growth of the Global Government business unit within Inmarsat since its creation in 2012. This has required regular C-level interactions across the global satellite industry. Peter has also had 3 international assignments in Australia, Italy and Canada each 1.5 to 3 years in duration.

Peter brings to any organisation a strong business acumen backed by robust technical skills relevant to communications networks particular for the Government sector. His style of operation is to be collegiate, creative and innovative, looking at the big picture often presenting alternative perspectives, with the ability to drive out results once the direction is agreed.

Peter Gleadow

Peter is a versatile consultant with extensive experience of roles in Defence, and management positions in industry. His skills and experience encompass benefits realisation management, P3M portfolio and programme management frameworks, portfolio office (PfO) and programme management office (PMO) structures, business process capture and analysis, management of change, rollout management, and generation of governance framework handbooks.

He has enjoyed long-term assignments with clients across the Ministry of Defence including Army HQ, MOD Head Office, HQ Air, and Navy Command HQ and in Defence industry prime contractors and Civil Service agencies having worked with MOD 2* and 1* clients, and at CIO levels. Peter has substantial experience in supporting the Front-Line Commands in adopting P3M capability management techniques in accordance with Defence Reform and FinMilCap transformation.

With an analytical mind, keen attention to detail, strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, Peter has the ability to work alone or as a team player. Having been embedded within client organisations since 2012, he is comfortable working in multi-disciplinary industry/MOD teams, and with staff at all organisational levels from shop floor to senior management.

Philippa Bristowe

Philippa is a problem solver and has a unique ability to represent complex ideas in simple graphical form which she then uses to get stakeholder engagement, input and buy-in to future options and solutions. She has a wide range of experience including programme/transformation management, change management, performance improvement, planning and organisational design, as well as business strategy development & planning, commercial analysis and support.

Having started off her career in the private sector Philippa has spent the vast majority of her time working across the full breadth of the public sector from local government authorities to central government departments. The last ten years has seen her focus predominantly on the defence sector where she has worked with all three services, Main Building and DE&S as well as private sector defence suppliers to provide advice and support in developing and improving the governance, organisational design and the performance of various teams and departments, and providing commercial advice to teams undertaking complex procurements.

Her focus on any project is to ensure she understands what the problem really is and what her client needs. She then generates options to address the requirement, followed by extensive stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organisation to ensure effective input to shape the options and buy-in to the final solution.

Tom Butler

Tom works across the private and public sector in organisations including satellite communications, consultancies, software, pharmaceuticals, Reuters, local government and the NHS exhibiting a broad range of business acumen with sure leadership, proficient project management skills and astute cost management. He is a commercially incisive change and project manager with strong leadership skills. He has excellent strategic and operational stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to bring together different organisations and conflicting objectives to achieve results. With strong business development and consultancy selling skills, Tom is excellent at exploiting digital technology for both operational and commercial gain.

Enthusiastic about every aspect of delivering quality solutions, Tom applies his considerable knowledge acquired by working in a range of business environments frequently attracting praise from the clients he works with. Tom holds a BA Hons in Art History and an MSc in Information Systems Design. He is fully conversant with PRINCE and Agile methodologies and has recently completed his training as an Executive Organisational Coach at Ashridge Business School.

Jo Bamford

Jo has more than 25 years practice as an Occupational Psychologist working with businesses, teams and individuals to enable change and maximise potential.​ She has vast experience in inspiring, engaging and coaching people and organisations through change. She has an ability to energise people, bringing together key stakeholders and managing conflict and challenges positively and proactively. She understands the psychology of change and helps people approach change with the right mindset, behaviour and approach for maximum success. ​

Jo has spent most of her working life in the consultancy world after starting her career as a psychology lecturer. She works with organisations big and small to help them achieve the changes needed to be successful strategically and operationally. Jo has worked closely with a diverse range of boards and senior managers in both the private and public sector which means she has significant knowledge of best practice and pragmatic solutions. From this experience Jo has created the ‘Change Make It…’ model to ensure that any programme she engages with results in change that is aligned to business strategy, engages the workforce and results in behavioural and process change for the better.
